Financial Times Grows Audience 9%
Financial Times continues to grow it audience and revenue on multiple platforms through the period ended May 2011. According to BotB, FT now has a daily average print readership of nearly 1.7 million, 600k who consume its content online, and 25k on mobile device.
The brand’s aggressive march into smartphone and tablet platforms, often circumventing Apple, has generated interest from other media firms seeking to similar strategies.

Twitter Ad Revenue to approach $140M in 2011
Twitter’s global ad sales are projected to reach $139.5 M by the end of 2011, up 210% from $45M achieved in 2010, according to a new report from marketing consultancy, which previously projected Twitter ad sales to reach $150M this year. By 2013, eMarketer estimates Twitter global ad revenues will reach nearly $400 million.

Company Websites Are Top Source of New Sales Leads
A recent survey conducted by Demandbase in conjuction with Focus.com found business-to-business corporate Websites are the top source for generating new sales leads. According to the ”2011 National Website Demand Generation Study”, leads from corporate Websites (23%) are second only to personal connections and referals (41%) as a source for all sales leads generated.
The study indicated that 80% of respondents feel their corporate Websites need to be optimized to achieve maximum lead-generation potential. Survey respondents said tracking visitors, providing relevent information, and building a sense of community were the key steps needed to optimize their sites.

Tablet Users Willing to Pay for Bundled Digital + Print Magazines
A new survey released by FTI Consulting indicate that tablet device owners are more likely to pay for a digital subscription to magazines, especially if the digital magazine is bundled with a print subscription. Overall, tablet users consume more digital media than non-tablet owners.

BtoB: Internet Ad Revenue Nearly $15B Through Q2
Internet ad revenue reached $14.9 billion in the first, up 23.2% over the first half of last year, according to a new report from the Interactive Advertising Bureau.
The “IAB Internet Advertising Revenue Report” was conducted by audit firm PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Internet ad revenue for the second quarter reached $7.7 billion, up 27.1% over the same period last year, according to the report.
